Strategy, Plans, and Policy Planner (TS/SCI) | USCENTCOM Support
Clearance: Active TS/SCI required
Travel: Occasional CONUS/OCONUS travel (planning events, coordination)
Remote: Limited remote work may be possible when mission allows, and approvals are in place
You will help turn senior leader guidance into clear, executable plans and decision-ready products. This is a planner role supporting a Combatant Command staff where you work side by side with joint, interagency, and partner stakeholders to keep planning moving and keep products tight.

What you’ll work on
- Support Joint planning efforts from mission analysis through COA development, wargaming, comparison, and decision support (JOPP)
- Draft and refine planning products such as briefings, decision papers, estimates, assessments, and written analyses
- Help synchronize inputs across staff sections, components, and external partners so plans stay aligned
- Provide qualitative analysis of options (kinetic and non-kinetic), and communicate tradeoffs clearly
- Participate in planning teams and working groups (OPTs/JPTs) and help drive products to completion, not just discussion
What we’re looking for (must-haves)
- Active TS/SCI
- 3+ years in strategy/plans/policy planning with strong working knowledge of JP 5-0
- Experience supporting a Geographic or Functional Combatant Command HQ (military or civilian)
- Strong writing and briefing skills (clear, organized, decision-ready)
- Ability to build and integrate “ways, means, and ends” across joint and partner efforts
Nice to have
- Advanced planning education (SAMS, SAASS, JAWS, MAWS, SAW, Senior Service College, or equivalent)
- Experience supporting campaign planning, OPLAN/CONPLAN development, or high-tempo planning cycles
- Comfort using planning-relevant collaboration tools and data-driven planning systems
