Overview
Strategic Resilience Group (SRG) is seeking a Board‑Certified Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology Physician to provide full‑spectrum radiology services for Veterans at the Lexington VA Health Care System. This role is onsite, weekday business hours only, with no nights, weekends, or on‑call. The position is primarily clinical, with light administrative/quality improvement responsibilities.
Position Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities (95% Clinical / 5% Administrative)
- Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies including X‑ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, PET/CT, and fluoroscopy.
- Perform common interventional procedures such as angiography, biopsies, and drain placements; participate in procedure planning and post‑procedure follow‑up.
- Provide timely, clinically actionable radiology reports and consultation to referring providers; participate in multidisciplinary discussions as needed.
- Ensure appropriate imaging protocols, radiation safety, MRI safety, and contrast administration practices consistent with VHA policy.
- Contribute to quality improvement activities, peer review, and documentation standards per facility policy and VHA directives.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO with an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States.
- ABR Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology; interventional competencies as outlined above. (Board‑eligible not accepted.)
- DEA registration and NPI required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current).
- Fluent in English; strong communication and collaboration skills.
- No adverse licensure history; must meet VHA credentialing and privileging requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Occupational Health & Compliance
- Employee Health clearance to include TB screening and proof of MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, and COVID‑19 vaccinations per facility policy.
- OSHA bloodborne pathogens training and Hepatitis B vaccination (or documented declination where permitted).
- Completion of VA mandatory training modules (e.g., ethics, MST, suicide prevention, HIPAA/privacy, MRI safety, infection control) prior to start and annually thereafter.
