Board Certified Psychiatrist

SRG is seeking a Board Certified Psychiatrist to support the delivery of psychiatric care to U.S. Veterans, this role provides onsite Board Certified Psychiatry Physician Services within the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System. This position directly supports the VA Mental Health Department’s mission to deliver timely emergency psychiatric care across the CAVHCS coverage area.
This is a mission-critical, patient-facing role embedded within VA clinical operations.
Position Responsibilities
Provide onsite Board Certified Psychiatry Physician Services to eligible VA beneficiaries.
Deliver psychiatric care in support of the CAVHCS Mental Health Department.
Support 24-hour, 7-day-a-week, 365-day-a-year coverage requirements.
Participate in regular clinic hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm) and rotational on-call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Provide services primarily at the main CAVHCS facility in Tuskegee, AL.
Be prepared to support other sites within the CAVHCS coverage area on a case-by-case basis (Montgomery, Dothan, Fort Rucker, Columbus, GA, Monroeville, AL).
Support timely emergency psychiatric care consistent with VA clinical operations.
Work collaboratively within a VA healthcare team environment.
Required Qualifications
Board Certified in Psychiatry.
Licensed Physician eligible to provide psychiatric services.
Ability to perform services onsite (no remote option).
