CT Technologist (ARRT CT)

SRG is seeking someone to support diagnostic imaging services at the Syracuse VAMC, this CT Technologist provides a full range of CT exams (contrasted/non-contrasted), supports patient care, documents as required in VA systems, and maintains quality/safety standards.
Position Responsibilities
Perform CT imaging exams in accordance with site protocols and diagnostic requirements.
Demonstrate strong cross-sectional anatomy knowledge and CT application (including multi-slice/spiral CT; 3-D reconstruction).
Support CT procedures and clinical coordination (e.g., biopsies and other CT-guided/interventional support as applicable per site practice).
Use PACS and VA imaging workflows to prepare studies for radiologist interpretation.
Protect patients through radiation safety practices (ALARA), shielding, and required monitoring/dose practices.
Document work as required by the facility (including daily case tracking and required notes for delayed studies).
Follow infection control, patient safety, and facility/service-level policies.
Maintain professionalism and effective communication with patients, providers, and staff.
Be available for scheduled shifts and support continuity of operations (vendor must cover absences and replace within 24 hours if a shift can’t be completed).
Required Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Full, unrestricted license to practice radiologic technology in a U.S. state/territory/DC (no restricted/suspended/revoked history).
ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (RT) and advanced ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
Minimum 3 years of experience performing exams consistent with the Syracuse VAMC modality needs.
Able to speak/read/write English fluently.
