CT Technologist (ARRT CT)
Syracuse, NY (On-site at Syracuse VA Medical Center)
We are recruiting for an onsite CT Technologist to support the Syracuse VA Medical Center. This is a full-time contract imaging role supporting VA radiology operations in a clinical environment that requires independent technical capability, patient safety discipline, and experience across advanced CT procedures. The amendment confirms the role is 1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week.
Position Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Perform a full range of CT exams, including contrasted and non-contrasted studies.
- Support advanced CT imaging, including CTA, CT fluoro, biopsies, and specialty protocols.
- Prepare patients and contrast agents and monitor for changes during studies.
- Maintain image quality, documentation, dose tracking, and patient safety compliance.
- Support daily review of pending cases and timely documentation in VA systems.
- Follow infection control, radiation safety, privacy, and facility procedures.
- Participate in variable shifts, with on-call and callback support as needed.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Current full and unrestricted Radiologic Technology license in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or D.C.
- Current ARRT certification in Diagnostic X-ray and Computed Tomography.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in CT exams comparable to those performed at Syracuse VAMC.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- English fluency and technical proficiency for independent performance.
- Able to obtain Syracuse VAMC approval/credentialing before starting services.
