DEXA / Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist

Position Responsibilities
•Perform diagnostic radiographic studies
•Perform DEXA / bone densitometry examinations involving:
oLumbar spine
oHips
oForearms
•Position patients accurately to produce diagnostic-quality images
•Assist with fluoroscopy as applicable
•Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within applicable scope
•Operate computerized and digital radiography systems
•Work with PACS
•Perform quality-control procedures
•Apply radiation-safety practices
•Prepare patients, explain procedures, and monitor patient condition
•Clean and disinfect equipment and workspaces according to procedure
•Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Required Qualifications
•Current, full, and unrestricted Radiologic Technologist license
•ARRT certification in Radiography – R
•Demonstrated experience performing DEXA / Bone Densitometry
•Current BLS
•Experience with digital radiography and PACS
•Ability to independently produce diagnostic-quality studies
•Ability to complete VA credentialing and onboarding requirements
