Junior Contracts and Accounting Administrator
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Contracts and Accounting Administrator to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their career in contract management and accounting administration. The Junior Contracts and Accounting Administrator plays a key role in supporting the project-related operations and general accounting procedures of the finance and administration department of SRG, a federal government contractor. This position involves essential administrative tasks that facilitate contract management, financial management, contract administration of the company and programs, ensuring compliance and efficient operations. The role reports to the Vice President of Finance and Administration

Project Control: Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders, review and approve supplier invoices related to a project, investigate all project expenses not billed to customers, compile information for internal and external auditors when required.
Contract Administration: Review, track, and manage company contracts and subcontracts, ensuring timely execution and compliance with terms and conditions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract documentation, including amendments and modifications.
Financial Documentation and Record Keeping: Manage, organize, and update financial documents, including invoicing, receipts, payroll records, and expense reports.
Daily Financial Operations: Process payments, manage receivables and payables, and perform routine bookkeeping. Perform data entry for various financial transactions. Ensure accuracy of financial entries and records in compliance with established standards for SRG, JTR, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) when applicable.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation, analysis, and adjustment of budgets, financial reports, and forecasts to ensure financial stability and growth.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and analyze the company’s cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure that funds are available for operational needs.
Administrative Support: Coordinate administrative functions and ensure effective communication between the finance department and other company divisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for contract proposals and modifications. Review documents for accuracy and completeness, identifying any discrepancies or areas requiring clarification.
Liaison with Service Providers: Collaborate with external service providers such as accounting firms, HR services, and banks.
Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, particularly those specific to federal government contracting.
Stakeholder Communication: Support the Vice President in delivering financial insights and strategies to corporate leadership, fostering informed decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative roles within a financial setting within a federal government contracting environment.
Strong understanding of financial regulations and the federal contract lifecycle.
Demonstrated competence in the entire Microsoft Office Suite with particular emphasis on Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
Expert utilization Microsoft Excel
Expert knowledge of GAAP in a federal contracting environment
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Eastern Time Zone, preferably in DC Metro Area.
U.S. Citizenship Required.
Expert knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
Ability to negotiate effectively while maintaining professional relationships
Experience working with DCAA audits and compliance requirements.
Experience in financial software (Unanet preferred).
Knowledge and experience with information security processes and procedures pertaining to sensitive financial information and PII.
