MRI Technologist – Minneapolis VA Health Care System (Onsite)

Strategic Resilience Group (SRG) is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to support the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services while ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to VA clinical standards.
This is an onsite position supporting veteran patient care in a structured and highly regulated clinical environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures
- Explain imaging processes and ensure patient comfort and safety
- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Select appropriate imaging techniques based on physician orders
- Review images for quality and coordinate with radiologists as needed
- Follow strict MRI safety protocols, including implant/device screening
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with VA and HIPAA requirements
- Support compliance with privacy, information security, and clinical policies
- Maintain punctuality and consistent onsite presence for scheduled shifts
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required
- R.T. (MR)(ARRT) certification – current, active, and unrestricted
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience in a clinical setting
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work onsite in Minneapolis, MN
- Must be able to successfully complete VA credentialing and onboarding requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a VA or federal healthcare environment
- Military or veteran healthcare experience
- Local to the Minneapolis, MN area
