To support onsite vascular diagnostic services for eligible beneficiaries of the VA New Jersey Health Care System, this role operates ultrasound diagnostic equipment to capture and document vascular data in accordance with national standards (ARDMS).
Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities
•Perform onsite vascular studies as a Medical Instrument Technologist (Vascular).
•Operate ultrasound diagnostic equipment to record vascular information (blood flow, blood pressure, limb volume changes, oxygen saturation, cerebral/peripheral/abdominal circulation).
•Produce diagnostic vascular information consistent with the standard of care meeting/exceeding national standards (ARDMS-referenced).
•Support delivery of vascular tech services in a state-of-the-art medical treatment facility environment.
•Maintain compliance with required training and onboarding items (privacy/security/HIPAA and occupational health).
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
•Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice Vascular Ultrasound Technology in a U.S. state/territory/commonwealth/DC.
oNot eligible if the license is/was restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily surrendered pending action, or denied upon application.
•Credentialing (one of the following):
oCCI: Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), or
oARDMS: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) / certified in general vascular technology by ARDMS
•BLS (Basic Life Support).
•NPI (National Provider Identifier).
