Psychiatrist (Locum Tenens) – VA Medical Center

To support the delivery of psychiatric care to U.S. Veterans, this role provides onsite psychiatrist services across the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and affiliated outpatient clinics. The work is mission-critical, patient-facing, and embedded directly in VA clinical operations.

What You’ll Do
•Provide onsite psychiatric care to eligible VA beneficiaries at MEDVAMC and designated Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).
•Deliver direct patient care in accordance with VA clinical standards and facility policies.
•Practice as a licensed Psychiatrist within the scope of board certification or board eligibility.
•Support psychiatric services across inpatient and/or outpatient clinical settings as assigned by the facility.
•Work as part of an interdisciplinary VA healthcare team.
•Maintain all professional standards required for clinical practice at a VA medical facility.
•Perform services onsite at the main medical center or one of nine affiliated outpatient clinic locations.
