Registered Nurse (RN) - Primary Care
Onsite at Dayton VA Medical Center
We are seeking Registered Nurses to support onsite Primary Care PACT services at the Dayton VA Medical Center. This role supports patient care, care coordination, documentation, and team-based clinic operations.
Position Responsibilities
· Provide direct and indirect nursing care in support of primary care operations.
· Obtain patient history and assess patient condition.
· Develop and document nursing plans of care.
· Carry out physician orders and document services in the medical record.
· Administer medications and IV therapies.
· Monitor response to medications and changes in patient condition.
· Support patient and family instruction and discharge planning.
· Use emergency equipment, including monitors, EKG machines, and defibrillators.
· Participate in team huddles, meetings, and quality activities as required.
Required Qualifications
· Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
· Current Ohio RN license.
· Current CPR certification from an American Heart Association vendor.
· Current BLS certification.
· ACLS if assigned to a specialty clinic.
· Minimum one year of direct patient care experience within the last three years.
· VA experience preferred, not required.
· Ability to obtain and maintain VA credentialing and clearance requirements.
Eligibility Requirements
· U.S. Citizen; or
· Permanent Resident/Green Card holder with a Social Security Number and must have resided within the United States for the past three years;
· No sponsorship available.
