Senior Technical Architect (AI Platforms / IRAD Technical Lead)
Remote (CONUS-Based)
Position Responsibilities
Serve as the technical lead for internal R&D (IRAD) initiatives focused on AI/ML-driven mission platforms
Architect and design LLM-enabled systems, including agent-based workflows and structured output pipelines
Lead development of scalable solutions leveraging multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure) with secure, compliant architectures
Design and implement data integration pipelines, enabling ingestion, orchestration, and visualization of multi-source datasets
Develop technical solutions that integrate with existing government systems and mission platforms
Ensure compliance with FedRAMP and IL2–IL4 security requirements, including RBAC and secure API frameworks
Provide technical leadership across engineering teams, including architecture reviews, DevSecOps alignment, and system validation
Translate operational requirements into technical solutions through collaboration with mission stakeholders and end users
Support demonstrations, testing events, and capability validation (e.g., exercises, prototypes)
Oversee development of documentation, training materials, and user adoption strategies
Identify opportunities for innovation, intellectual property development, and capability differentiation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Data Science, or related field
10+ years of experience in software architecture, systems engineering, or platform development
5+ years in a technical lead or architect role supporting complex systems
Demonstrated experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), including prompt engineering and AI workflows
Strong experience with cloud architecture (AWS, Azure) and secure deployment environments
Experience with data integration, ETL/ELT pipelines, and API development
Proficiency in Python and modern web technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, React or similar)
Experience with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Plotly, D3.js)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting DoD, IC, or Combatant Command environments
Familiarity with information operations, OIE, or influence operations
Experience with geospatial data and visualization (ArcGIS, GeoJSON, etc.)
Understanding of advanced analytics, simulation models, or decision-support tools
Experience working in classified or controlled environments (IL2–IL6)
