Cyber Systems Analyst – Skill Level 1
Quantico, VA — On-site
SRG is seeking a Cyber Systems Analyst – Skill Level 1 to support intelligence analysis of foreign cyber capabilities and threats affecting Marine Corps acquisition programs and operational systems.
This is not simply a cybersecurity administrator role. The analyst must understand cyber threats from an intelligence perspective and assess adversary capabilities against Marine Corps systems and networks.
The PWS calls for assessment of cybersecurity posture, foreign capabilities to detect, disrupt, or deny USMC emissions and signals across the cyber kill chain, emerging technology threats, and network characteristics and vulnerabilities.
Position Responsibilities
- Assess cybersecurity posture and threats affecting USMC defense programs.
- Conduct intelligence analysis of foreign cyber capabilities.
- Analyze adversary capabilities to detect, disrupt, or deny:Communications
Targeting systems
ISR systems
Network infrastructure
Other USMC emissions and signals - Assess reversible and non-reversible cyber attack capabilities.
- Monitor emerging and commercial technologies that may threaten USMC acquisition programs.
- Assess networks for:Architecture
Operating systems
Services
Connectivity
Bandwidth
Baseline activity
Security classification - Evaluate foreign Computer Network Attack and Computer Network Defense capabilities.
- Assess vulnerabilities of USMC tactical systems to cyber attack.
- Support cyber intelligence preparation and adversary course-of-action development.
- Produce cyber threat intelligence reports and briefings.
The PWS also specifically requires evaluation of foreign CND/CNA capabilities and potential vulnerabilities of Marine Corps tactical systems supporting targeting, ISR, and navigation.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to work on-site in Quantico.
- Working knowledge of cyber operations, cyber threats, network architecture, or intelligence support to cyber operations.
- Ability to evaluate intelligence from multiple sources.
- Understanding of network infrastructure and cyber vulnerabilities.
- Strong research, writing, and briefing skills.
Experience / Education
- Minimum 3 years of relevant analytic experience, with some experience within the past 2 years.
- Bachelor's degree related to the labor category preferred.
- 7 total years of relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree.
