General Surgeon

To support the Department of Veterans Affairs mission, this role provides onsite General Surgery physician services to eligible Veterans at Mann-Grandstaff VAMC. This position requires full VA credentialing and privileging prior to clinical start.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide onsite General Surgery clinical services in accordance with VA PWS requirements
- Deliver care consistent with VHA clinical standards, medical staff bylaws, and facility policies
- Maintain clinical documentation and patient records using VA-designated EHR systems
- Participate in credentialing, privileging, and re-privileging processes
- Complete and maintain all VA-mandated physician training requirements
- Maintain required CME for continued privileging
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary VA clinical teams
- Support continuity of care and comply with VA patient safety and quality standards
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
- Eligible for VA credentialing and privileging under VHA Directives 1100.20 and 1100.21
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
- Ability to provide verifiable documentation of education, training, licensure, certification, and competency
- Willingness and ability to complete all VA-required mandatory training
