Hematology / Oncology Physician

Strategic Resilience Group (SRG) is seeking a Hematology / Oncology Physician to support the VA Central California Health Care System in Fresno, California under the Integrated Critical Staffing Program (ICSP). This is a full-time, onsite position supporting veterans during standard clinic hours with no on-call or callback requirements.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide onsite hematology/oncology physician services for VA patients
- Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage hematology/oncology cases in accordance with established standards of care
- Deliver outpatient clinical services, consultations, and care coordination
- Support timely consult completion, follow-up planning, discharge coordination, and communication of test results
- Document care in the VA electronic health record
- Maintain compliance with VA credentialing, privileging, privacy, HIPAA, and patient safety requirements
- Complete all required VA training and maintain current certifications and licensure throughout performance
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Ability to obtain and maintain VA credentialing and privileging prior to start
- English fluency sufficient for clinical and administrative communication
- Ability and willingness to work fully onsite in Fresno, CA
- Ability to meet occupational health requirements, including immunization and screening documentation as required by the VA
