Journeyman Financial Analyst

Position Responsibilities
The Finance Analyst will work within the Financial Services Branch, in support of the following:
· Evaluate, document, and improve current business processes and reporting.
· Remediate weaknesses in the processes, data and reporting in the current financial management systems such as the Federal Financial Management System (FFMS), WebView, and S&T’s Analytical Tracking System (STATS)
· Accept, establish and reconcile reimbursable agreements and accounts.
· Conduct on-going reviews of reimbursable accounts.
· Resolve financial discrepancies with trading partners.
· Close out reimbursable accounts.
· Develop reimbursable budget authority estimates.
· Maintain reimbursable accounting standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
Must possess a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of Financial Management experience.
2. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to:
· Absorb, organize, and communicate large quantities of information in a fast-paced environment in a clear, concise, and accurate manner.
· Keep informed of the mission, organizational structure, key personnel, current activities, status of current projects, and any issues affecting the organization.
· Communicate with senior staff, customers, and other staff in a manner that is clear, concise, succinct, and professional.
· Manage a variety of functions simultaneously and with flexibility to work under competing demands and deadlines.
· Operate independently and work collaboratively in a team environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Teams and PowerPoint
3. Must be experienced in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office.
4. Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
5. Candidate must have fitness vetting for Public Trust.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with Federal Financial Mangement System (FFMS), WebView, and Analytical Tracking Systems (STATS).
2. Experience providing support DHS Financial Support Services.
