Website Media Support - Editor – USSOUTHCOM –SECRET Clearance require
SRG is seeking an experienced Website Media Support Editor for the Information Operations Deputy Directorate (J39). The Editor is expected to assist with content development, interviews, photography, and editorial review of material. It is advantageous to have on-site journalist/editor that has knowledge of web metrics and social media expertise

Additional tasks include but are not limited to:
Maintain situational awareness of United States policy and events in the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility and keep abreast of current developments in the region in order to coordinate and, as appropriate, direct coordinated content selection for websites.
Monitor and enforce publication schedule for sites in close collaboration with customer and editorial teams.
The Editor shall perform additional quality checks and conduct preliminary assessment of submitted work for appropriateness to site and readiness for publication.
The Editor shall ensure all site content has been approved and shall monitor feature and word counts and make recommendations to help achieve high level of customer satisfaction within site content budget constraints.
The Editor shall contribute to periodic reviews and reports as requested by the COR.
The Editor shall advise customers regarding emerging web trends and monitor growth of internet technologies within the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility to recommend technological improvements to websites.
1. The editor must be bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese.
2. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
3. Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.
4. Clearance: This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance for this employment.
5. Minimum bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field.
6. Minimum of five years of experience in website content management, including editing, formatting, and publishing multimedia content.
7. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
8. Strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices and website analytics.
9. Proven work experience with a demonstrable portfolio of work.
10. Must have current experience utilizing social media tools
1. Prior experience working in the J39 supporting Information Operations.
2. Prior experience providing Social Media Editing for classified content.
3. Proficiency with Microsoft tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note, SharePoint, and Teams.
