Training and Development Specialist – Space Brigade Support
Clearance Requirement: Active TOP SECRET with SCI eligibility
Travel: Occasional CONUS/OCONUS, as required
Strategic Resilience Group (SRG) is seeking a detail-oriented Training and Development Specialist to support the 1st Space Brigade’s training readiness initiatives, leader development programs, and standards and evaluations. This position is critical to ensuring the Brigade’s ability to deploy and operate in support of USSPACECOM, USSTRATCOM, and USNORTHCOM missions.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in Army training doctrine, standards implementation, and organizational training readiness assessments to support operational and strategic objectives.

Training Management Support:
- Develop and maintain the Annual Training Guidance (ATG) and Quarterly Training Guidance in alignment with FM 7-0 and USASMDC directives
- Draft and publish the Brigade’s Semi-Annual Training Brief (SATB) EXORD, supporting annexes, and information papers
- Coordinate internal review timelines and milestone briefings with Deputy Commanding General and CG
Standardization and Evaluations:
- Support development, implementation, and assessment of the Brigade Standards and Evaluation Program
- Ensure alignment with USASMDC standards and readiness evaluation criteria
- Assist in evaluating subordinate unit compliance with Brigade-level evaluation programs
Leader Development Program:
- Design and implement officer and NCO development programs (OPD/NCOPD), Foundational Readiness events, and Sergeant’s Training Time in accordance with AR 350-1
- Develop inspection checklists and performance tracking metrics for internal evaluations
Mission Essential Task List (METL) Management:
- Maintain and refine the Brigade’s Standard METL, supporting mission analysis and updates in line with CJCSM 3500.04F and ADP 1-03
- Assist subordinate units with METL development and training plan alignment
- Coordinate approval packages for Commanding General METL updates
Training Synchronization and Coordination:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual Brigade Training Synchronization Meeting
- Facilitate Quarterly Training Briefs for subordinate battalions and units
- Support distributed training strategies for globally deployed or redeploying elements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Military Science, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Army training management, operational planning, or a closely related field
- Familiarity with Army training doctrine: FM 7-0, AR 350-1, AR 220-1, and mission readiness reporting
- Proficiency in developing training plans, EXORDs, and evaluation frameworks
- Experience supporting operational units at the Brigade or Battalion level
- Strong briefing, writing, and collaboration skills
- Former military officer or senior NCO with S3/G3 or G37 training experience
- Prior experience supporting USASMDC, Space Operations, or Missile Defense units
- Familiarity with NetUSR, DTMS, and DRRS-S readiness systems
- Graduate of Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC), or similar
