Website Media Support – Social Media Manager – USSOUTHCOM – SECRET Clearance required
SRG seeks an experienced Social Media Manager for the Information Operations Deputy Directorate (J39). The Social Media Manager is expected to develop and operate a website and associated mobile application (App). The Social Media Manager shall develop and operate a website and associated App in accordance with the Government’s requirements and at accepted industry standards, with consideration for regional and local cultural and social norms.
The ideal Social Media Manager candidate will be fluent in Spanish or Portuguese. The Social Media Manager must maintain a TS/SCI clearance for this employment.

Additional tasks include but are not limited to:
Maintain situational awareness of United States policy and events in the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility and keep abreast of current developments in the region to coordinate and, as appropriate, direct coordinated content selection for websites and apps.
The Social Media Manager shall manage the website’s associated social media pages/sites for each existing website and conduct social media assessments.
The Social Media Manager shall perform additional quality checks and conduct a preliminary assessment of submitted work to ensure its appropriateness to the site and readiness for publication.
The Social Media Manager shall ensure all site content has been approved, monitor feature and word counts, and make recommendations to help achieve high customer satisfaction within site content budget constraints.
The Social Media Manager shall contribute to periodic reviews and reports as requested by the COR.
The Social Media Manager shall advise customers regarding emerging web trends and monitor the growth of internet technologies within the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility to make recommendations for technological improvements to websites.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.
Clearance: This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance.
Minimum bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
Minimum of five years of experience managing social media accounts for brands or organizations.
Proven track record of growing audience engagement and driving results through high-quality social media campaigns, connecting with existing followers and acquiring new ones.
Knowledge of social media analytics and scheduling tools.
Clear, confident communication abilities to craft engaging content.
Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese.
Must have current experience utilizing social media tools.
Prior experience working in the J39.
Prior experience managing Social Media accounts to include for Government content.
Proficiency with the following Microsoft tools; Word, Excel, Power Point, One Note, SharePoint and Teams.
