Overview
Strategic Resilience Group (SRG) is seeking a Board‑Certified Nuclear Medicine Physician to deliver comprehensive Nuclear Medicine services at the Lexington VA Health Care System. The practice is weekday, business‑hours only with no on‑call and focuses on high‑quality diagnostic imaging and therapeutic nuclear medicine in a collaborative, Veteran‑centric setting.

Key Responsibilities (95% Clinical / 5% Administrative)
- Interpret and supervise PET studies across indications including neurology, oncology, cardiac, infection/inflammation, PSMA, and neuroendocrine tumors (NET).
- Interpret and supervise SPECT studies including neurology, cardiology, endocrine, GI, skeletal, and genitourinary exams.
- Plan and administer radioisotope therapies including I‑131, Pluvicto, Lutathera, and Xofigo, with appropriate patient selection, consent, radiation safety oversight, and post‑therapy follow‑up.
- Oversee radiopharmaceutical handling, quality control, and compliance with radiation safety standards and VHA directives.
- Provide clinical consultation, patient education, and discharge counseling; contribute to multidisciplinary coordination of care.
- Participate in quality improvement, protocol optimization, and documentation audits per facility policy.
- MD/DO with an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States.
- Board Certification in Nuclear Medicine (or Diagnostic Radiology with recognized Nuclear Medicine subspecialty certification); Board‑eligible not accepted.
- DEA registration and NPI required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current).
- Fluent in English; excellent communication with patients and clinical teams.
- No adverse licensure history; must meet VHA credentialing and privileging requirements.
Occupational Health & Compliance
- Employee Health clearance to include TB screening and proof of MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, and COVID‑19 vaccinations per facility policy.
- OSHA bloodborne pathogens training and Hepatitis B vaccination (or documented declination where permitted).
- Completion of VA mandatory training modules (e.g., ethics, MST, suicide prevention, HIPAA/privacy, MRI safety, infection control) prior to start and annually thereafter.
